01. Project Overview

Project: Design & Build HVAC & Smoke Management System

Location: Kalba Mall, Sharjah, UAE (28,460 sq.m.)

Client: Sharjah Cooperative Society

We delivered a comprehensive turnkey MEP solution for this major commercial building, utilizing Centralized Chilled Water Systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality with full compliance to DCD approved safety standards and energy-efficient engineering goals.

02. Scope of Work

Chiller Plant: 2 Nos. Carrier Air-cooled chillers and 3 Nos. Primary pumps for centralized chilled water distribution.

Integrated HVAC Systems: 3 Nos. FAHUs, 29 Nos. AHUs, and 2 Nos. Carrier Packaged Units for high-performance climate control.

Localized Cooling: 19 Nos. CHW FCUs, 18 Decorative units, and 144 Ducted split units for retail zones.

Ventilation & Safety: 32 Exhaust fans for restroom and kitchen areas; 10 DCD licensed Smoke Extract Fans for safe emergency evacuation.

03. Project Details

Technical Design: Utilized MEP Revit 3D modeling and HAP for precise heat load calculation and system optimization.

Energy Efficiency: Integrated Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) technology and high-efficiency Carrier products to reduce operational costs.

Professional Management: ISO certified project execution with multi-disciplinary design coordination meeting strict 12-month delivery timeline.

Compliance: Fully aligned with UAE fire safety regulations and international HVAC & Smoke management standards.
